Lions Fall to No. 5 Cal
Women's water polo falls on the road to No. 5 Cal.

BERKELEY, Calif. -- The 11th-ranked LMU women's water polo team continued its tough stretch against the nation's best, falling to No. 5 Cal in Berkeley, 12-4, on Sunday afternoon.
The Lions fall to 17-9 on the season, splitting its four games on the week. The Lions return to Los Angeles to face No. 4 UCLA in another tough road match-up on Friday, Apr. 12 at 7 p.m. They will then return home on Sunday to face No. 2 Stanford at 12 noon.
In the setback to the Bears, the Lions were held scoreless in the second as the Bears pulled away in the second half. Laura Lopez scored the Lions first goal in the opening quarter, followed by a pair from Alexandra Honny and the final goal from Danielle Johnson.
LMU goalie Claire Wright had 11 saves on the game.
