LOS ANGELES -- LMU fought back to within a goal late in the second period on the road to defending champion and third-ranked USC at Uytengsu Aquatics Center on Thursday. However, the Trojans went on a 9-1 run to put the game away, winning 14-5 in a non-conference match-up.

The Trojans jumped to a 3-0 lead but saw the Lions cut it to 4-3 in the second. They then scored the final three goals of the quarter to get breathing room. Senior Alexandra Honny led the Lions with a pair of goals and Claire Wright had seven saves.
