Water Polo Falls to No. 3 USC in Rare TV Game
Lions fall to third-ranked Trojans, 14-5, in a game on Pac-12 Network.

LOS ANGELES -- LMU fought back to within a goal late in the second period on the road to defending champion and third-ranked USC at Uytengsu Aquatics Center on Thursday. However, the Trojans went on a 9-1 run to put the game away, winning 14-5 in a non-conference match-up.
The Trojans jumped to a 3-0 lead but saw the Lions cut it to 4-3 in the second. They then scored the final three goals of the quarter to get breathing room. Senior Alexandra Honny led the Lions with a pair of goals and Claire Wright had seven saves.
LMU falls to 17-11 on the season and will play a pair of games on Saturday at Azusa Pacific. They will open with conference foe APU for the final Golden Coast Conference game of the season at 12 noon, and then at 2:30 pm, a non-conference match-up with Chapman.
