LOS ANGELES -- The 2013 college water polo season is underway, and Lions' All-Access continues its Inside the Lions Spotlight on this year's LMU women's water polo team. As the season progresses, the Spotlight takes a look at the 13 newcomers on the roster, up next is freshman Megan Linder.

Coming from a hockey family, Linder found she loved to compete and after she beat her brother swimming, she learned she was pretty good in the water. Starting her freshman year of high school, water polo entered the picture, and she was first coached by LMU four-time All-American Casey Flacks.

Linder would go on to help Agoura Hills High School to four straight league titles, not losing a game. It was the same success that Flacks, now her mentor, would see at the same high school.

Flacks would go on to be LMU' first female to earn All-America honors all four years of college. Thus, for Linder, following those footsteps to LMU was natural, and is the foundation of Linder's goals as she begins her college career. Listen to the entire interview on Lions' All-Access.

Up next for the Lions is the 2013 UC San Diego Triton Invitational in La Jolla, Calif., on Feb. 9-10.
