LOS ANGELES – Coming off a pair of wins last weekend, the Loyola Marymount women’s water polo remains at No. 21 in the latest Collegiate Water Polo Association poll. The Lions have another early season test as they travel to Arizona State to face four teams ranked higher.
On Saturday, LMU will open the ASU Cross Conference Challenge against No. 20 Princeton at 12:30 p.m. before playing the hosts No. 5 Arizona State at 4:30 p.m. that afternoon. The Lions will then turn around quickly to face No. 16 UC San Diego at 8 a.m. Sunday morning and close out the weekend with a rematch against No. 6 Hawaii at 2 p.m.
This is the first year of the Challenge. In total, there will be one game played on Friday afternoon, four games on Saturday, and four on Sunday. The one match on Friday, along with the final four matches of the Challenge on Sunday, will be held at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center. On Saturday, all five scheduled matches will take place at the Sun Devil Fitness Center, located on the Tempe campus, due to a swim & dive meet taking place at 1:00 p.m.
All games will have live stats available through TheFosh. A live stream of LMU’s game against Arizona State will be available through the Pac12 Networks website at the link above.
