LOS ANGELES -- Lions' All-Access continues its look at the 2013 LMU women's water polo team with its special feature Inside the Lions Spotlight presented by Muscle Milk. This edition features freshman Danielle Johnson.

Johnson is one of 13 freshman on this year's roster for the Lions, and she is making an impact in her first season. The driver from Walnut Creek has worked into the starting line-up for the Lions, scoring a pair of goals against UC Santa Barbara on Thursday, giving her 11 on the season.

The Marketing major graduated Las Lomas High School in 2012 with honors while earning eight letters in swimming and four in water polo. She went on to earn All-State and All-CIF honors as a junior and senior, claiming Second-Team High School All-American as a junior and First-Team All-American as a senior.

She attributes her success to the encouragement she received from her father, who swam and played water polo in college, and to that of her former and current teammates. Johnson talks about how her teammates are helping her navigate this first year of college. Watch the entire interview on Lions' All-Access.

The Lions continue an eight-game home stand when they host a triple header on Saturday, March 16, taking on Colorado State at 9 am and Cal State San Bernardino at 3 pm. CSU and CSUSB play at 12 noon.
