Morelos Wins Player of the Week Honors
Senior Jessica Morelos was part of the Lions unbeaten weekend at the LMU Invitational.

LOS ANGELES -- The 12th Annual LMU Invitational saw the women's water polo team claim a 4-0 weekend, helping them jump three spots to No. 11 in the latest National Rankings. LMU senior Jessica Morelos was key for the Lions and she was named the KAP7 Western Water Polo Association Player of the Week.
LMU went a perfect at home, earning three wins in conference play to improve to 6-1 while also claiming a 7-5 win over then No. 12 Princeton in the finale. The Lions allowed just 15 goals on the weekend, getting solid defense throughout the line-up.
Morelos led the Lions attack, scoring 11 goals on the weekend, including eight on Sunday in wins over CS Monterey Bay and Princeton. She had four goals in each of the victories and also added seven kick-outs drawn, seven steals and three field blocks. She scored her 11 goals on 13 shots.
