Water Polo Takes Sixth Among Nation's Best
The 10th-ranked LMU women's water polo team will look to move up in the national rankings next week thanks to its sixth place finish at the UC Irvine Invitational, which featured a field of 16 teams all ranked in the nation's top-20. The Lions split the final day of play on Sunday at the Anteater Aquatic Complex.

The match-up will put the two remaining unbeaten teams within the GCC together. The Lions enter the game at 17-9 overall and 4-0 in league play, while San Diego State is 18-10 and 2-0.

The LMU Sports Network sat down with junior Mackenzie Beck to talk about the match-up, the Lions two wins last week and what it will take for the Lions to find success in San Diego.

Senior Alexandra Honny enters the match-up leading the GCC in goals with 63 while San Diego State's Ioli Benekou is fourth with 46. The two are also ranked 11th and 18th in assists and 2nd and 8th in steals, respectively.
