Los Angeles, CA -- Cal State San Bernardino goalie Bryanna Burns made a save of WWPA Player of the Year Amanda Ortiz from two-meters on a breakaway with less than 20 seconds left in regulation to lift the Coyotes to an 8-7 win over Cal State Bakersfield in the fifth place game of the 2008 WWPA Women's Water Polo Championship hosted by Loyola Marymount at the Burns Recreation and Aquatics Center Saturday afternoon.

Burns finished the game with seven saves and six different players scored in the win. Freyja Berg scored with 4:38 left in the fourth quarter to give CSUSB an 8-6 lead that proved to be the game winner. Katherine Gillett scored with 2:57 left in the quarter to cut the lead to 8-7 but the Roadrunners could not get the equalizer.

It was tight the entire way as the 8-6 lead was the largest lead as CSUSB never trailed. The game was tied five times - 11, 3-3, 4-4, 5-5, and 6-5.
