LOS ANGELES - Loyola Marymount women's tennis announced its second signing of the National Letter of Intent period on Monday. The Lions have added Moldova international Alexandra Zaicenco for the 2017-18 school year.

Hailing from the same country as Assistant Coach Katie Vasenina Bercume, Zaicenco currently ranks 422 in ITF, and just won an ITF tournament this summer. She was also ranked #13 in Europe in the ETA under-16s rankings.

Zaicenco will join the Lions with professional WTA tournament experience and recently won a round in the main draw by beating a former #525 in the world.

"I am really excited to bring Alexandra to LMU," said Vasenina. "She is form my home country and I know her mentality: driven, hard working, and dedicated. She's going to be a great addition to the team and I know that she will help get us to the top."

LMU added Eva Voracek this signing period as well.
