Haney Named Nominee for NABC Good Works Team

LMU junior Steven Haney Jr. has been named a nominee to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Allstate Good Works Team, as announced by the NABC on Wednesday. This esteemed award honors an outstanding group of student-athletes who represent the sport's finest in the areas of community service and leadership among their peers.

Hot Shooting Second Half Earns Win

LMU men’s basketball erased a 10-point first half deficit thanks in part to 62 percent shooting in the second half to earn a 78-62 win over Portland State at Gersten Pavilion Friday night.

Four-Game Homestand Continues

LMU men’s basketball (1-2) will continue their current four-game homestand when they host Portland State (1-2) on Friday, Nov. 25 at 7 pm. The game will be part of a tripleheader of basketball at Gersten Pavilion the day after Thanksgiving.

Lions Can't Close at the Buzzer

Teams from the major conferences don’t make many trips to Gersten Pavilion, just over 20 since 1984. But when they do, they are memorable. And Thursday night’s match-up between LMU and UConn was just that Brandon Brown’s three-pointer at the buzzer was off the mark, giving the Huskies a late 65-62 win.

Back Home For UConn
