The LMU campus will be full of activity this coming weekend as it is the official start of the school year on Monday, Aug. 29. And with it comes Move-in Weekend Aug. 26-28. A pair of Sweet 16 teams will get the 2016-17 sports campaign started with the first regular season home games of the year.

LMU volleyball head coach Tom Black, along with volunteer assistant Joe Trinsey, helped guide Team USA to a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics on Saturday afternoon. The U.S. Women’s National Team earned the Olympic bronze medal with a 25-23, 25-27, 25-22, 25-19 victory over Netherlands at Maracanazinho arena.

U.S. Women’s National Team Head Coach Karch Kiraly and his staff, including LMU head coach Tom Black, have selected a roster with four Olympic veterans and eight players who will be making their first appearances on the grandest sporting stage. The roster was announced on July 12.
